上世纪八十年代,最早的一批越南厨师南渡澳洲,把最纯正的越南风味美食带到了墨尔本。而越南最出名的美食莫过于越南河粉——用料讲究的汤头,加上丰富的配料,融合成独特的口感,香气扑鼻、味道鲜美、令人难忘。从此Tommy便开始了与越南河粉邂逅的人生。

小Tommy因为父亲在越南餐厅工作的缘故,从小就尝遍地道的越南美食,并与有名的越南老师傅结下深厚的情谊。长大后,Tommy拜这位老师傅为师,并开始钻研越南粉的精进之道—它的用料必须纯粹、正宗,吃完让人有满足感;它的汤底必须是记忆中的味道,这是对美味的追求,亦是情怀使之。他发现,除了澳洲顶级的牛肉牛骨之外,中国的特有香料,也会激发与碰撞出各色食材之间的味觉变化,以此开创出了独有的食材配方。这用多种食材经巧妙搭配的美味浓汤,仿佛能够直击心灵,让人念念不忘。

Fat Pho’s head chef Tommy began his Vietnamese culinary journey at a young age in the 1980s, when his family migrated to Australia carrying with them traditional Vietnamese recipes handed down through a few generations.
Growing up in Australia, Tommy spent his childhood in and out the kitchens of many Vietnamese restaurants. With one in particular where his father apprenticed together with an infamous Pho Chef. It was here that father and son bonded over their love and passion for Vietnamese Pho.

The broth at Fat Pho is the culmination of a recipe developed together by master, father and son, over 30 years of experience with Vietnamese cuisine and both quality Australian ingredients and Chinese herbs. We invite you to Fat Pho to experience this tastebud sensation.
